Today, her Tamil film Hi, co-starring Kain, has also been released. While Toxic is an A-rated film, Hi is a breezy rom-com with a U/A rating. Despite limited buzz, the film has opened to strong advance at the box office.
The film is directed by Vishnu Edavan, who marks his directorial debut. He had earlier worked as an associate director to ace filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj in several of his projects, including Kaithi, Master, and Vikram. Earlier, while talking about his film, Vishnu said it is a wholesome family entertainer that focuses on true love. This is the first time that Nayanthara and Kavin are sharing screen, and it would be interesting to see their chemistry.
