The movie collected $25.1 million on its opening weekend at the North American box office. It might have performed better if the old cast had returned, but it is about a new family, and the audience might take some time to accept them. According to Box Office Mojo, Insidious: Out of the Further collected $1.8 million on its first Wednesday, a drop of only 38.2% from Tuesday. The film is in its first week and has already achieved break-even worldwide. The domestic total for the film after 6 days is $31.9 million, pushing the worldwide gross to $66.5 million. It is expected to cross $100 million at the worldwide box office in its second weekend.
