Yash is one of the biggest pan-India superstars in the country right now, and the opening of Toxic just proved that. The larger-than-life image from KGF Chapter 2 and his humble personality have made him a big crowd-puller, and the failure of Toxic won’t cause him any major damage. Yash started his post-COVID run on a high note

In the post-COVID era, the superstar has had only two theatrical releases so far. It started with KGF Chapter 2 (2022), which had a huge pre-release buzz. It amassed thunderous numbers on opening day and, due to strong support from the masses, had a long theatrical run. It eventually wrapped up at 859.7 crore net at the Indian box office. With these numbers, it is currently the 5th highest-grossing Indian film.

Toxic underperforms at the Indian box office

After KGF Chapter 2, Yash returned to the big screens after a gap of three years with Toxic. From the moment the film was announced to the day of its release, it had strong buzz, which helped it secure mind-blowing numbers on the opening day. However, due to negative audience reactions, it suffered a sharp decline from the second day onwards. Currently, after 15 days, it stands at 243.6 crore net and is likely to close at less than 250 crore net.
