Frozen (2013) is hailed as one of the best ever films go to come out of Disney. It was a huge critical and commercial success. There are a lot of expectations from Frozen 2, which is keenly awaited by both kids and adults. Here is our review of the film…

What is it about…

Princesses Elsa and Anna are living a happy life in Arendelle. However, Elsa is bothered by a voice, which she feels is calling her. At the same time, her kingdom is under threat from a spirit. Will she manage to uncover a dark secret and save her people. And finally who will be the queen of Arendelle?

What is hot…

The film is a visual feast. You will love the colours that fill up the screen. The second highlight is the music. Songs like Into The Unknown,The Next Right Thing and All Is Found make for great listening. Composer Kristen Anderson-Lopez has done a fab job. Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell do a good job as Elsa and Anna but it is Josh Gad’s Olaf who has some of the best lines. Jonathan Groff as Kristoff is also a riot. Directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck hold the story together and manage to create some marvellous moments.

What is not

The film is bit of a drag and the songs feel excessive at a couple of places. While the story has an exciting premise, it could have been more thrilling. The emotional quotient is not as high as the first film.

Frozen 2 is a visual delight and definitely a film your kids would enjoy. Btw, Princess Elsa is sporting a new gown and it might just be the next craze.
