The Angry Birds movie 2 review: Red and gang’s mission makes for a fun and pacy sequel

And its almost time to for the most-awaited animated family entertainer The Angry Birds Movie 2. The Angry Birds, based on the popular game of the same name, brings the story of Red and his flightless friends onto the silver screen in a hilarious manner. The 2016 film was a hit at the Indian box office despite mixed reviews. Now is the second part poised to extend the run? Check out our full review here.

What’s it about :

Red, Chuck, Bomb are forced to team up with Leonard and the rest of the pigs when an advanced weapon threatens both Bird and Piggy Island. In fact, they put aside their differences and unite to fight a common threat- Zeta the eagle. Why? Because aggressive birds from an island covered in ice are planning to use an elaborate weapon to destroy the fowl and swine way of life. After picking their best and brightest, the birds and pigs come up with a scheme to infiltrate the island, deactivate the device and return to their respective paradises intact. Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader and Peter Dinklage are back to reprise their original characters while Leslie Jones, Rachel Bloom, Awkwafina, Sterling K. Brown, and Eugenio Derbez are the additions to the cast of The Angry Birds Movie.

What’s hot:

The film is dolled out as a kid movie and boy, does it tickle funny bones. Leslie Jones as the heartbroken yet fierce Zelta and Rachel Bloom as chuck’s overachieving younger sister Silver, are the best-written parts in the film.
