It is among the weakest performers in the franchise, even though the film is just inches away from hitting a key worldwide milestone. Crosses the $50 million mark in North America
The movie has collected a modest $6.5 million on its 3rd three-day weekend at the box office in North America. It declined by 36.1% at the domestic box office, and its collection is almost on par with Insidious 5’s $6.6 million. After its third weekend, the film’s domestic total stands at $54.1 million, crossing the $50 million mark. It is expected to add another $1.6 million on this Labor Day-induced Monday in North America.
According to Box Office Mojo‘s data, Insidious: Out of the Further has surpassed the OG Insidious movie at the North American box office, becoming the 4th-highest-grossing installment in the franchise. For the unversed, Insidious collected $54 million in its domestic run, and Out of the Further has surpassed it as the franchise’s all-time #4 domestically.
