R-rated horror movie Buddy is scoring solid numbers in silence at the box office. In less than fifteen days, the film has surpassed its break-even target despite not being released internationally. It is a supernatural comedy movie directed by Casper Kelly featuring Cristin Milioti, Delaney Quinn, Patton Oswalt, Clint Howard, Michael Shannon, Topher Grace, and Keegan-Michael Key as the voice of the title character. It premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in January. Received with positive word-of-mouth, the film is a box-office success.

Buddy has not been released internationally, hence all its box office collection is from North America. The movie collected a solid $5.8 million on its second three-day weekend at the box office in North America [via Box Office Mojo]. It added 494 theaters owing to the film’s solid run. Thus, the R-rated horror shot up by 6.2% from its opening weekend at the box office. For the record, it is now playing over just 1,771 theaters. In ten days, the horror movie’s box office total has hit $14.3 million.
