The biggest book adaptation of the year, Verity is all set to release in cinemas across India in October. Based on Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel of the same name, the film has generated significant anticipation, with fans eager to see Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson take on never-before-seen roles.
The teaser and trailer have further fuelled the buzz, with the intense kiss between Anne and Dakota emerging as one of the film’s biggest talking points. While Dakota recently opened up about the kiss, author Colleen Hoover has also shared her thoughts on the intense scene featured in the trailer.
Colleen Hoover On Verity’s Intense Kiss Scene
Speaking with Variety, Colleen admitted she was nervous about the kiss scene as it was not in the book. “That was one I was nervous about because it wasn’t in the book and I didn’t know how it was going to play out or how it was going to fit in, but it ended up being one of my favourite scenes — and made for a really fun trailer, too! So, I was relieved. As an author, when they add or take out something you hope it works, and luckily it did.”
