Aafiya Sayed was recently seen in the film Prem Keetanu. While the film crashed at the box office and failed to find success amid the buzz around Drishyam 3, the actor is now looking forward to her new innings in Telugu cinema. The actress is all set to make her Telugu debut with Nani’s upcoming production, Alias Rukmini. The film stars Nithiin in the lead role and has already generated buzz with its interesting premise.
Aafiya Sayed’s Introduction Into Telugu Cinema
The makers of Alias Rukmini have dropped a teaser introducing Aafiya Sayed’s character, Rukmini. Earlier, they had shared a video that unveiled the title and introduced Nithiin’s character. Nani provided the voice-over for that video. Aafiya’s character introduction as Rukmini is quite effective, with no dialogue.
The video opens with Aafiya walking in a yellow saree and pink blouse amid a sea of students dressed in white and grey uniforms. She walks through a school corridor with a black handbag and a book in her hand. As she passes a wall, she spots a caricature of herself accompanied by the words “Devil,” “Hitler,” and “Homework Police.” She stops and looks at the caricature before picking up a marker and writing something on the board. The camera then pans to three students who walk closer to see what their teacher has written. She has written her name, Rukmini, on it. We then see Aafiya Sayed turn around and give the students a sweet look.
