Three major films succeeded, while two others failed
Between January and March, there were five major releases: Border 2, Mardaani 3, O’Romeo, The Kerala Story 2, and Dhurandhar 2. Of these five releases, three succeeded, while two tanked. Talking about the successful movies first, Border 2 raked in 362.76 crore net against a budget of 275 crore. The Kerala Story 2 scored 51.95 crore net against a budget of 28 crore. Dhurandhar 2 has scored a whopping 944 crore net in the first 14 days, and it’ll very soon enter the 1000 crore club.
Mounted on a reported budget of 60 crore, Mardaani 3 earned 52.99 crore net, thus becoming a losing affair. Even O’Romeo failed, earning 83.35 crore net against a reported budget of 130 crore.
