DCU’s third film, Clayface, is all set to be released in theaters this month. Its release is scheduled closer to the Halloween. The DCU movie has low box-office buzz in North America. It has been directed by James Watkins with Tom Rhys Harries in the titular role. Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, and Eddie Marsan appear in supporting roles. It is part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. Only Superman came out as the winner at the box office. Supergirl, released earlier this year, is a major financial failure.
Clayface’s opening weekend projection at the domestic box office
Clayface is reportedly the English remake of the Danish-Dutch film of the same name. The movie is based on one of Batman’s enemies, a character who has not been explored much in previous movies. According to the early estimates, the upcoming DCU movie is eyeing a low opening weekend at the North American box office. Based on the numbers on Box Office Pro, the movie is expected to earn between $23 million and $33 million in its opening weekend at the North American box office.
