Veteran Hindi film and television actor Mushtaq Khan, remembered for his supporting and comic roles in films, has died at the age of 56. The actor passed away on Thursday evening, September 24, 2026. He was last seen in Stree 2 and Gadar 2 and was appreciated for his roles in both films. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Hera Pheri, Jodi No. 1, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Welcome, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Rowdy Rathore, Badhaai Do, and more films!
Mushtaq Khan’s Cause Of Death Revealed
The late actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital and had been undergoing treatment before his death. As per a confirmed report by HT City, He passed away around 7 pm on Thursday. He had been detected with lung cancer earlier and had recovered. However, it relapsed eight days ago and had to be admitted to the hospital. It was the last stage of cancer.”
The actor won accolades for his supporting role in Sony TV’s Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, where he played Supriya Pilgaonkar’s brother and Shaheer Sheik’s maternal uncle. He also won an award for Best Supporting Actor for his character in the show.
