Rishi Kapoor was an actor par excellence, but he was also a man of spoken words. He never minced his words and never shied away from calling a spade a spade. He once talked about the performances of three brilliant actors from the 2000s. Though, it was before his son Ranbir Kapoor made his debut.
It was during such a discussion that Rishi Ji clearly showed his affection and fondness for Fighter actor Hrithik Roshan. HR made his debut in 2000 with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and shot to fame overnight.
With KNPH, Hrithik was immediately given the stardom he deserved and was also put on a pedestal, same as superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan, the three ruling stars from the 90s and 2000s. During one of his appearances on Koffee with Karan, Rishi Kapoor unapologetically chose Hrithik over SRK and Aamir.
