Johnny Depp is a top-rated actor in Hollywood known for doing unorthodox movie roles. From Edward Scissorhands to Mad Hatter in the Alice in Wonderland film series, he is known for these notable roles. One of his most epic roles is that of Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Depp earned his fortunes from these characters; he once opened up about taking up these parts, and, honestly, people cannot imagine other actors in those roles.
The A-lister debuted his first feature film in 1984 with A Nightmare on Elm Street. He and Tim Burton often collaborated on multiple films. Burton is known for the Gothic themes in his movies, and Depp has benefitted largely from them. The actor, who reportedly made around $650 million from his Pirates of the Caribbean role and earned the studio unsurmountable profit, was dropped unceremoniously for his conflict and court case with ex-wife Amber Heard.
