The man who revolutionized Ghazal as a musical genre is no longer with us. Pankaj Udhas breathed his last on February 26, 2024, Monday after battling a prolonged illness. His family, in an official statement, confirmed the news. The music industry has been mourning his loss. While Sonu Nigam posted a heartfelt note, Hariharan remembered his brother, whom he last met on The Kapil Sharma show.

After Naam’s Chitthi Aayee Hai, Pankaj Ji appeared on TV screens in the 90s, and cable channels were gradually dropping, and he was one of the earliest ones to tap on the music video trend.
