Veer Pahariya is all set for the release of his second film. After making his debut with Sky Force last year, the actor is shifting gears by attempting a rom-com. Titled Prem Keetanu, the upcoming film also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Rakesh Bedi, Aafiya Sayed, and Nikhil Vijay. The film is a Hindi remake of the blockbuster Malayalam film Premalu, which starred Naslen and Mamitha Baiju.

The Veer Pahariya-starrer is clashing with Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam – The Conclusion at the box office on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. While the Hindi rom-com is going up against a major release, which is expected to earn over 40 crore on opening day, the former will have to rely on strong word-of-mouth.

How Much Does Prem Keetanu Need To Surpass The Opening Of Premalu?

Prem Keetanu will largely rely on word of mouth, so its opening day may not be its strongest. Despite it being a national holiday, moviegoers may favor Drishyam 3, which has a strong franchise pull and a superstar advantage. Meanwhile, Premalu had a long run at the box office despite a slow start. On its opening day, the film earned 90 lakh net at the domestic box office. In the following days, the film grew at the box office and ran for 10 weeks. Veer Pahariya’s film needs just 91 lakh to surpass Premalu.
