The final hours of pre-sales for director Nitesh Tiwari’s grand mythological spectacle Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi are officially wrapping up as the film prepares for its grand Diwali opening on November 5, 2026. While the film has generated a massive wave of interest, its final pre-sale performance on BookMyShow (BMS) showcases a gap when compared to 2026’s all-time record holder.
With estimated pre-sales pacing toward 841K tickets, Ramayana is set to conclude its advance booking run below the coveted 1 million mark on BMS. This places it behind Ranveer Singh’s action marvel Dhurandhar 2, which established an unmatched record by selling a staggering 2.41 million advance tickets, nearly 2.8 times higher than Ramayana’s advance on BMS!
Ranbir Kapoor Enters All-Time Top 10!
Despite missing out on the 1 million target, Ramayana’s estimated 841K advance ticket sales firmly positions it at the #5 spot on the all-time BookMyShow advance sales list, successfully overtaking Drishyam 3 (812K) and War 2 (807K).

Dhurandhar 2 remains in a league of its own with 2.41 million advance sales on BMS. Dhurandhar 2 sold almost 2.86 times more tickets on BMS than Ramayana’s 841K pre-sale projection. Even Ranbir Kapoor’s personal Best is Animal, which registered advance sales of 1.26 million on BookMyShow.
