Since then, no other film in the franchise has managed to pass this record. For the unversed, Afterlife is the fourth film in the franchise. It is the second movie in the series, directed by Paul WS Anderson, following the first film.

Zach Cregger‘s Resident Evil is based around the game, Resident Evil 2. According to Deadline‘s report, the upcoming movie is on track to earn around $35 million in its opening weekend at the North American box office. The projected number is nearly $10 million more than Afterlife’s $26.6 million opening-weekend box-office collection in North America.
