Christopher Nolan’s epic The Odyssey is superior to Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the domestic dailies, and that might be because of its IMAX screenings extension. But overtaking the Marvel beast is highly unlikely for Nolan’s movie. But it might have a chance at surpassing the 2nd highest-grossing Spider-Man movie of all time. How much has the film collected so far at the worldwide box office?
It remains above $1 million at the North American box office for 61 consecutive days, the 5th-longest streak of all time. It is on par with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace’s streak. The magnum opus collected $1.1 million on its 9th Tuesday/discount day at the domestic box office, the 5th-biggest 9th Tuesday ever. It has dropped just 31.2% from last Tuesday, taking the total domestic cume to $602.9 million.
According to Box Office Mojo, The Odyssey has once again outshone Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the domestic dailies, remaining at #2 in the box office rankings. Meanwhile, its international total is $1.08 billion, pushing the global total past the $1.68 billion mark. Christopher Nolan’s movie is on track to earn around $1.9 billion worldwide in its original run.
